To clarify, Meat Loaf’s first proper album is “Bat Out Of Hell.” This is the one that contains his earliest and possibly most recognizable hits (“Paradise By The Dashboard Light,” for example). He released several albums after that but then, in 1993, he released “Bat Out Of Hell II: Back Into Hell.” This album was his real return to the pop charts, as this album contained the (ubiquitous at the time) “I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That).”
I’m not really a fan of Loaf. I’m just kinda obsessed with the dichotomy of these two albums. Honestly, I don’t really know why.
